How we handle the details you send when you ask for a China trip plan. The short version: we collect only what the planning team needs to reply, we run no ads or trackers, and you can ask us to delete your request at any time.

Last updated: 17 September 2026

When you send a request through the plan wizard or a contact form on this site, we store what you typed and picked: your name, email address, and—if you choose to share them—a phone number or messaging handle, your country or region, your rough travel dates, trip length, party size including children’s ages, the destinations and interests you selected, your budget range, and your free-text notes.

We also record two context fields: the page you submitted from, and the interface language you were using. Both help the planning team read your request correctly.

Your IP address is never stored in clear. The site keeps a truncated SHA-256 hash of it, re-salted daily, purely to enforce a submission rate limit (at most five requests per minute per visitor). We also record the browser’s User-Agent string to help debug failed submissions.

We do not run analytics, advertising pixels, or cross-site trackers on this site.

Your request goes to a human planning team. They read it, then reply through the contact method you chose—email, phone, WhatsApp, or WeChat. That is the whole purpose: discussing and planning your trip.

We do not sell, rent, or hand your details to marketers. This site has no newsletter, so submitting a form does not subscribe you to anything.

Four service providers touch your request on the way to our team:

  • Cloudflare Turnstile — checks that submissions come from humans, not bots. It may set its own cookies under Cloudflare’s policies.
  • Supabase — the hosted database where requests are stored.
  • Feishu (Lark) — each request is forwarded to the planning team’s workspace so someone actually reads it.
  • Vercel — hosts this website and keeps standard hosting access logs.

This site stores a language preference (English or Chinese), and may keep small interface-state values in your browser so the planning experience works as expected.

If you start the plan wizard and leave midway, the in-progress draft stays in your own browser’s local storage. It is not uploaded until you press submit—and you can clear it any time by clearing your browser data.

We keep your request while we work on your trip and for a reasonable follow-up period afterward, so returning conversations have context.

You can ask us at any time to show you what you submitted, correct it, or delete it. Send the request through any contact channel listed on our About page, from the same email address or number you used originally, so we can tell it is really you.

If we change what we collect or how we handle it, we update this page and the date above. Material changes are called out at the top of the page.

Write to us through the contact channels on the About page. A human reads it—privacy questions go to the same planning team, not a bot.
